Fake it till you make it – instead, try this…

How about this instead, “Live as if…”  Live as if it’s already occurring in your life.  Live as if, you have already achieved it.  Live as if…(you fill in the blank!).

This phrase, as opposed with “Fake it til you make it” allows you and I to be real, authentic and live life with intergrity and grit.  The grit that’s need to experience the passion and joys you desire.

Sure it may just be semantics, but I believe (and have experienced) the choice of words is truly important to the life I live and the goals I want to accomplish.

“Faking it” implies, I don’t really belong there.

“Living as if…” implies, I’m getting there and THIS is just practice for once it happens.

“Living as if…”implies, I have created THIS already – through commitment and actions I have taken.

”Faking it” implies, I’ve had a streak of luck – and I hope no one finds out.

To Live as if…, first you need to know what you want to accomplish. The goals you set out to accomplish in the last post (Excellent Habits) will help you to Live as if… because you are now creating ACTIONS in which to do.  To actually begin living as if.

What are you doing today to Live as if…?
